Adapter for inter-turn short circuit detection at inductances ranging from 10 µH to 50 mH

The coil test adapter permits inter-turn short circuit measurements in combination with the following multimeters:

METRAHIT COIL
METRAHIT IM XTRA
METRAHIT IM E-DRIVE

Applications

By comparing measurement results, asymmetries at the windings of 3-phase machines can be directly detected and conclusions can be drawn regarding possible shorts. In the case of single-phase motors, testing is based on a comparison with a known setpoint value.

Technical characteristics
Inter-turn short circuit measurement with the Z270F standard adapter within an inductance range of 10 µH to 50 mH (at 100 Hz).

The Z270F standard adapter is universally suitable for many electric machines with various power ratings. For motors in accordance with DIN standards, this corresponds to power ratings of roughly 15 kVA to 80 MVA.
