GOSSEN METRAWATT - meters will be verified from the state-approved test center of Gossen Metrawatt GmbH.
The Bavarian regional authority for measurement and weight approves our test center according to the German metrology and verification act requirements (MessEG).
Energy Meter The European Measuring Instruments Directive (MID), which came into force in 2004 (recast in 2014), allows electricity meters to be placed on the market by means of conformity assessment (Module B + D at GMC-I Messtechnik). As soon as the validity of verification has expired, a national verification will be required. This can be obtained from our test center.
EBY 8 Principal Verification Mark The "Principal Verification Mark" is the legal sign for the verification. The label shown here contains our test center designation "EBY 8" including the verification year (e.g. 17 for 2017).
If you would like to have the yellow "Principal Verification Mark", we will be happy to carry out verification tests for new meters already. The verification certificate can be used to create a chain building process for uniform documents.
The meter is sealed in order to rule out any manipulation.
The validity of verification period in Germany for electronic electricity meters is 8 years.
Our test center issues verification certificates for a fee upon request.
